PLUG AND PLAY SESSIONS: INCLUSION AND CONNECTION

SPEAK UP:
PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY IN PRACTICE

(3 hours)

Imagine working in a place where it was not only OK but encouraged to stick your neck out. To try bold new ideas. To fail. To challenge. All without fear of being the fall guy. All, in the shared pursuit of performance, innovation and growth. With psychological safety, this doesn’t have to be a dream. But what does it really mean to have psychological safety? And how do we go about establishing it?

Since the term was coined, many teams have sought this Holy Grail. The good news? The answer doesn’t lie in a big unattainable solution, but rather in a host of small, everyday actions that build trust and true teamwork. We offer three sessions to help discover these: one for in tact teams, one for leaders, and one for all, each shining a light on how we can all play a part in creating psychological safety.

Making hybrid working work
(2 hours)

In the last few years we’ve gone from co-location to virtual to hybrid working as the norm. In the face of all this change, we’ve ‘made do’ with ways of working. Done a quick hatchet job on our existing approaches so we could keep going. But now that hybrid working is becoming the norm, these botched, band-aided quick fixes just won’t do.

In this session, designed for in tact teams, we take a step back and review – with tips and ideas from leading thinkers and businesses – how we can come together brilliantly (even when we’re apart) and how we can reap the benefits from asynchronous working (while still staying united).

Better conversations: the art of openness, authenticity and inclusion

(90 mins)

Mental health concerns. Menopause. Work-life balance. Diversity of thought. Inclusion. More than ever, we need to be great at involving everyone we work with in great quality, open conversations. But the fears of opening our mouths and saying completely the wrong thing is at an all time high.

In this session we explore the micro-behaviours that make for true authenticity and inclusion, how to encourage otherwise hidden conversations out into the open, and how to navigate them for impact.
